Typeface releases ”Time”

Melancholic indie rock band Typeface from Finland serves a new single with a music video. According to the band, the single “Time” is an encouraging message to those looking for themselves.

“The lyrics of Time have a notion about human rights. Everyone has the right to be the way we wish to be. The single encourages to let go of fear and prejudice and to not be oppressed by the surrounding pressure and norms”, says the band’s vocalist Otto Piirilä.

The music video for the single was shot at an old tar factory.

“We wanted to create a strong video for the single and in my opinion we succeeded. The stark environment of the factory in itself was such a desolate and lonely place, that it fit the concept perfectly”, says Piirilä.

Typeface was noticed last spring by one of Finland’s biggest radio stations YleX on their “on the rise”- column. The station’s series notes new unsigned promising acts. The band’s previous singles “We Might Fall Asleep” and “A Little God” have been streamed on Spotify over 65 000 times.
